CAPABLE, so that you when you have an opportunity to get an extra ski day in, hike up for some fresh tracks or head out backcountry to explore, it’s not your stamina or endurance that holds you back.

CONFIDENT, know that your body is going to react when you need it to. This is pretty handy with mandatory turns, carving hard, dropping cliffs, tearing through trees and simply skiing in general.

Explore the energy efficient mechanics involved in skiing by movement analyis of top ski instructors in a wide variety of terrain and conditions. Bridge the gap of where you are now physicaly, towards where you aim to be with detailed exercises directly related to your ski goals.

Move forward with an action plan built to navigate you past physical barriers preventing the level of excellence you crave for your favourite style of skiing.

Stay accountable in a supportive environment amongst an interactive community of like minded skiers from the comfort of your own home. The FULL SEND workshop begins October 13th and runs 3x per week for 8weeks.

Add simple, yet effective and ski relevant strength, coordination and mobility drills to move towards achieving the techniques and tactics demonstrated by the Section 8 Snowsport crew.

Hindsight of 2020

I remember laughing at the number “2020” leading up to New Years thinking, this will be the year of perfect vision. Little did I know then how that statement would ring true years later. A crazy chapter of learning for many of us in how quickly everything can change to reveal the good, the bad, and the ugly characteristics of the entire world. In hindsight of 2020, the unexpected pause, forced me to face my future, evaluate my perspective on life and move forward with new confidence. Now, in June of 2023, as I reflect on the decisions I made then, I smile at how those decisions have blossomed into opportunities.

Back in 2019

2019 was a big year for JMorrisAT jammed full with lots of exciting opportunities to be part of this incredible community and to meet so many AMAZING people. Check out the gallery below for a brief flashback of a few of the events :)

Heart Filled Day

Valentine’s Day has gained a reputation for being about chocolates, flowers, and a slap in the face reminder to the single people. At one point the day must have had a lot more meaning. The story of St. Valentine does pack quite an inspirational punch and I encourage you to look it up. Even though the day can feel fairly meaningless, for most of us it is still fun to buy into it and enjoy a sugar high. This year I tried something new to add a bit more meaning to it, as a bonus to the #FebFocus2019. Participants posted a heart shaped creatively and tagged it with the photo challenge. Every heart that was posted J. Morris Athletic Therapy donated $5 to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. It is exciting to announce that with the help of everyone who joined the fun, and others like the Women’s Initiative Founding Partner who stepped up to pitch in, we were able to contribute $500 to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Even though Valentine’s Day has become less meaningful, it was fun to use the theme to give back and concentrate on helping others gain healthy hearts. Thanks so much to everyone who contributed and helped make this possible :)
